All manuscripts submitted to Bukovina Mathematical Journal undergo mandatory peer review with the anonymity of the reviewer ensured. The peer review procedure aims to ensure scientific quality, objectivity of assessment, and correspondence of materials to the journal's profile.

Peer Review Procedure

The peer review process includes several consecutive stages:

1. Initial technical verification. At the initial stage, the editorial office evaluates the compliance of the manuscript with established formatting requirements. If inconsistencies are found, the material is returned to the author for revision without being passed for review.

2. Verification of academic integrity. All submitted materials undergo verification for text borrowings using specialized software. Manuscripts containing incorrect or undeclared borrowings are rejected without further consideration.

3. External peer review. A manuscript that meets formal requirements and demonstrates an appropriate scientific level is passed for review to an independent expert in the relevant field. The estimated review period is up to 30 working days.

4. Editorial decision and revision. Based on the results of the review, the reviewer provides recommendations regarding the acceptance, revision, or rejection of the manuscript. If revision is necessary, the authors make changes and submit an updated version along with a response to the review.

5. Additional peer review. In case of significant discrepancies or controversial situations, the editorial office may involve an additional independent reviewer.

6. Communication with authors. Authors receive anonymized texts of the reviews indicating the preliminary decision and deadlines for revision.

7. Final decision. The final decision regarding publication is made by the editorial board. After a decision is made, authors receive an official notification.

Evaluation Criteria

Manuscripts are evaluated based on:

●       level of scientific novelty and originality;

●       theoretical and/or applied significance;

●       methodological correctness;

●       logical structure and consistency;

●       compliance with formatting requirements;

●       linguistic and stylistic quality.

Reviewers

Independent experts with appropriate scientific qualifications are involved. A mandatory condition is the absence of a conflict of interest.

Appeal

Authors have the right to file an appeal against a rejection decision within 10 calendar days. The decision based on the results of the appeal is final.

Editorial Processing after Acceptance

After acceptance, the manuscript undergoes literary and technical editing. The editorial office reserves the right not to accept the material for print if significant uncoordinated changes are made or formatting requirements are violated.

Final provisions

• Manuscripts rejected based on the results of the review are not subject to re-consideration.

• The reviewer has the right to recommend rejection of the article if it does not correspond to the topic or scientific standards of the journal.

• The editorial board ensures the confidentiality of the review process at all stages.
