У статтi висвiтлено нарис життя, науково-педагогiчної та громадської дiяльностi вiдомого румунського математика Симiона Стоїлова (1887-1961), професора Чернiвецького i Бухарестського унiверситетiв, який тривалий час (1923-1939 рр.) працював у мiжвоєнний перiод у Чернiвецькому унiверситетi за часiв перебування краю у складi королiвської Румунiї, з нагоди вшанування його пам’ятi.
